Sober at Last

 It has been 14 years since I had my last beer. A handful of meetings. Not for me. If they ARE a match for you, GO. 

IJ had to find something else to fill the void the alcohol created. For me it has been better nutrition and exercise. Likely a lot of you have used these with good results too. 


Over the course of these last 14 years, I lost 110 pounds and have kept the weight off for over 12 years. There is still a daily struggle. Just a different one.

I did the math one day, why the weight went so quickly. The booze added up to  1500 calories a day. EVERY DAY.

So this is the last post here, hopefully. Perhaps others may have benefitted. GL to us all in the daily battle with alcohol or the struggle to stay sober.
